  • ¼ lb jumbo cooked shrimp, separated
  • ⅛ cup water chestnuts diced
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
  • pinch of white pepper
  • 18 wonton skins
  • 48 oz low sodium chicken broth
  • 1½ tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • ½ cup snow peas
  • ½ cup shredded carrots


Shrimp Wonton Soup

Shopped the cooked shrimp roughly reserve four of them for dressing. In a medium bowl, whisk together the chopped shrimp, water chestnuts, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, chopped onion and a pinch of water pepper.

Lay out some wonton skins and place a teaspoon of the shrimp mixture in the center. Swim your finger in a bit of water and diminish the edge of half the wonton. Crinkle the wonton skin over to cover the filling and use a fork to press down the edges. Repeat till the filling in 18 wontons.

Brazilian shrimp soup is a delicious tomato creamy soup with coconut milk, shrimp and seasoned to excellence.

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 bell red pepper, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup long-grain rice
  • a pinch red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 15 oz can crush tomatoes
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup canned unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 pounds medium shrimp, shelled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish


In a large saucepan heat the olive oil over low heat. Add bell pepper, onion, garlic and sauté occasionally stirring until the onion and pepper are soft.  Then add rice, salt, tomatoes, red pepper flakes and water to the saucepan and bring to a simmer. Sauté until rice is completely done, for about 10 minutes. Pour the coconut milk into the soup and stir well.

Bring to a boiled and then add the shrimp to the saucepan. Boiled, stirring intermittently, until the shrimp are just done, 3 to 5 minutes. Toss in the black pepper, lemon juice, and parsley.

Creamy Cajun Shrimp Soup

Creamy Cajun Shrimp soup is very spicy, delicious and less time-consuming soup. This soup can be eating any time of the year.

  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 ribs celery, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 4 c. reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 c. uncooked long grain white rice
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 lb. thawed, peeled shrimp (if using large or jumbo shrimp, cut them into bite-sized pieces)
  • hot sauce or cayenne pepper to taste


In a medium-large skittle, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add celery, onion, bell pepper and Cajun seasoning. Cooked until veggies are starting to get tender, for 7 minutes. Toss in garlic and sauté an additional minute. Pour in flour veggies is coated. Place the chicken broth about the half cup at a time, stirring until smooth before adding more. Once the dough is liquidly instead of pasty, you can place the rest in all at once and toss well. Bring to low boil.

Now add rice to the skittle, reduce the heat to a boil and cover, cook for 20 minutes. Stirring once and twice during cooking making sour scrape any rice off the bottom of the pan.

Turn reduce the heat medium, toss in milk and bring back to a boil. Add shrimp and sauté, frequently stirring, for 5 minutes until shrimp are pink and sauté through. Remove heat and serve immediately. Avoid over cooking. Add hot sauce to the whole skittle or special serve sauce to suit your taste.
