Hold It Real Good: The RCK Plank

  1. Make a usual forearm plank position, shoulders openly above your elbows, feet jointly, face pointing toward the floor. Your body should form a straight line from head to heels.
  2. Clasp your hands into fists, drag your shoulder blades apart, and push your forearms into the floor as if you’re trying to pull your elbows toward your toes.
  3. Press your glutes and hamstrings so that your tailbone tilts down, your lower back flattens, and you can experience your butt and legs working. Keep your knees locked.
  4. Hold, focusing on maintaining the maximum tension possible throughout your body.
