I was craving an ice cream A LOT. But I didn’t have any. What I had was few ripe bananas, apples, Matcha Green Tea Powder (of course), frozen berries and a piece of cucumber. Well, what about making my ice cream out of from I have, right? Let’s do this!

Number one in this recipe is frozen banana Matcha Nicecream Green Tea Powder which will add the boost to your delicious ice cream. This recipe is so so easy that you will not understand how did you make something that good just from these ingredients! Anyway back to my beloved Matcha! Please, add it to everything you do! It goes with everything sweet and even with some salty meals as well. If you have kids, and you want them to eat the nutritious meal – Matcha is the way – it makes every meal green and everything colorful is fun! Not that you will make them eat the meal, but you will give their bodies rich antioxidants which help to prevent cancer and heart diseases! Please, give yourself some Matcha as well! 🙂

Okay, back to the recipe. Prepare your bananas in a clever way – peel them, cut them, place them into a plastic bag and freeze them! At least for 3 hours or the best option is to do it overnight. Some people freeze their bananas with skin on it, but oh no. Your fingers will be frozen while trying to peel it off. Terrible.

Banana Ice Cream

All you need is the frozen banana, Matcha Green Tea Powder, and blender! Blender is essential. If you don’t have a good blender, you can try it with a stick mixer. You may need a bit more patience but at the end, you will get an ice cream as well. If I feel like my blender is having hard times blending my ice cream I put about 1-2 tbsp of plant-based milk to give it a little bit moisture and make blending easier. You can also use water for this. Another great tip is to make more refreshing ice cream using for example orange juice instead of plant-based milk or water. Using fruit juices is the best on hot days. It’s super fresh.

I love to prepare my Matcha ice cream also in a more refreshing way using lemon juice and water. The taste you will get from the combination of Matcha Green Tea Powder and sour fruit is just amazing.

I used frozen berries and some coconut chips for my Matcha ice cream because it’s simply my favorite combo. But as always feel free to top yours with anything you like. Any fruit, seeds, nuts will do. It’s all about you! Please, do me a favor and prepare this for your partner/friend and let them guess what’s this amazing ice cream made of!


  • 1 tsp Organic Matcha Powder
  • 4 frozen bananas
  • 1-2 tbsp plant-based milk (optional)
  • frozen berries
  • coconut chips


  • Place bananas and Organic Green Tea Matcha Powder into your blender and blend until smooth. You can add a little bit of any plant-based milk to make it easier to mix!
  • Serve and top with frozen berries and coconut chips!
