Tiger Woods in statement: Alcohol not involved in DUI arrest

Tiger Woods was arrested in Florida on impression of driving under the influence early Monday morning. He said he takes ‘full responsibility’ for his actions following a DUI arrest on Memorial Day, but also made clear-cut that alcohol was not a factor.

Tiger Woods in statement released Monday evening, he said:

“I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved,” the statement read. “What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.”

He said further:

“I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.”

Tiger Woods was arrested near his home in Jupiter Fla. On Monday and booked at Palm Beach Country Jail at 7:18 a.m. he was released at 10:50 a.m.

Full Statement of Tiger Woods:

“I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions.

I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.

I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more from myself too.

I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.

I fully cooperated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Department and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism.”

He said, he has been completely cooperating with authorities and thanked both the Jupiter Police Department and Palm Beach Country Sherriff’s office for their professionalism.
