Pair Skating Dancing

Description

Pair Skating Dancing competition is similar to single. In Pair, the things on which the players are judged is shorter technical and longer free-skating performances. Furthermore, skaters are judged according to the jumps, twirls, and spins along with the lifts and partner-assisted jumps. There should be a chemistry in-between the two players who perform their routines.

Pairs skating is a skating conducted armed dynamic way by the partners. There are also many daring and challenging overhead lifts, throw jumps and spins in this skating. The major points to be noticed in pair skating is exact timing and unison. The partners are whether together or apart, their performance and movements should be synchronized with body lines, gestures, and footwork. The beginning of Pairs skating is at the pre-juvenile level, and it proceeds to the senior level. There is also an option for adult skaters to skate and are also provided with a track in a Basic Skills program. Considering the competitive level, a team might compete for just a free skate or a short program.

Ice Dancing

Ice dancing is pretty different from pairs skating. In this Skating lifts are prohibited, and precise movements are required. There must be two compulsory dances and an original dance in Ice Skating which should be in special music or rhythms.

Ice dancing is based on some different aspects of dance. In Ice Dancing, there is more emphasis on the rhythm, interpretation of the music and precise steps. The beauty and strength of this sports are in its limitless creativity, choreography. The theatrical and innovative aspects and skating skills, the encompassing edging, position and power all give a glory to this sports. Pattern dance, free dance or a short dance are the Competitive ice dancing events of Ice Skating, which depends on upon the level. For the adult skaters, ice dancing has its adult. In adult taking the masters test tracks for pattern dance and free dance, tests are also different. From beginning to the advanced for all skill levels adult, dance competitions have many events. Depending on the degree, the adult competitive games consist of pattern dance and a free dance. Ice dancing can also be provided as a track in a Basic Skills program.

Finding A Partner

An essential step for anyone to get contact in pairs/dance is to notify your head coach that you are interested in participating in one of these disciplines. When once you have found the perfect partner, it is compulsory to set up tryouts. The tryouts must have consisted of on-ice and off-ice time. The on-ice time must be spent trying diverse skills and technique to know that whether you feel comfortable skating together or not. The off-ice meeting should also be spent discussing the details that could make or break the success of your partnership including short-term and long-term goals and plans for training and be competing.
