Born in St Joseph, Missouri on October 17, 1972 (age 41) carries a versatile and unique style. Eminem is also known by his famous nickname “Slim Shady.” His zodiac sign is Libra.
Eminem was unlucky to have a disordered childhood which had a severe impact on his personality. He was born in St.Joseph, Missouri on 17th of October – 1972. His album “The Slim Shady LP” which was released in early days of 1999, went multi – platinum and made him receive four MTV Video Music Awards and two Grammy Awards.

Eminem was an infant when his father, Marshall Mathers Jr abandoned him with his mother. His father ignored him and did not accept any attempt to contact him during his childhood.

He is raised by his mother named – Deborah Mathers. She never got stuck in any job more than a few months. They both frequently moved between Missouri and Detriot, Michigan. As they moved a lot, they had to spend much of their time in public housing projects.

Obviously, this nomadic lifestyle left a significant impact on his character. He could not make any close friends and was treated like an outcast at each new school. He almost kept his life entirely to himself. He sometimes gets critical about the way his mother raised him. Eminem, also through his song lyrics, publically accused her mother of being a medicated drug addict as well as subjecting him to emotional and physical abuse. However, his mother has vehemently denied all such blames and in 1999, she filed a defamation lawsuit against his son for $10 million. They settled the case for $25,000. “The emotions of a song, the anger, the aggression have got to be legitimate.” Eminem!

He attended Lincoln High School in Warren – Michigan. As he failed the ninth grade for three times, he was dropped out when he was only 17. Even being a poor student, Eminem always loved the language. He used to throw the comic books and sometimes dictionary as well.

I just felt like I want to be able to have all of these words at my disposal, in my vocabulary at all times whenever I need to pull I am out. As he was dropped out at the age of 17, he got a chance to express his passion for language and the aggression which was there inside him. He emerged as a great musician of hip-hop which was his love. He gradually became famous for his unique talent of rapping which was getting famous with the passage of time. A highly controversial gangster rap crew from Los Angeles took him with N.W.A.

Eminem was probably the first guy in pale while skin and bright blue eyes who entered into the field of rapping when it was ruled by the black people. He came into the Detriot rap scene as a competitor in the rap “battles”- competitions. Eminem. Being highly skilled at his verbal skills along with the interest which made him learn to increase his vocabulary proofed to be very beneficial for him here. He was soon recognized and became the famous and respected figure in Detroit’s underground rap scene.

He recalled, “I finally found something that yeah! This kid over here, you know he may have more chicks, and he may you know, have better clothes or whatever, but he cannot do this like me. You understand me? He cannot write what I am writing right now. And it started to feel like you know, maybe Marshall is getting a little respect.” Mathers assumed the stage name M&M, a playful reference to his initials which he later began writing phonetically as “Eminem” like EM-IN-EM.
In semi – autobiographical film “8 Mile”, his life was shown a little dramatized. His life pattern of life of working odd jobs to fulfill his needs while participating in rap battles and passionately attempting to land a record contract was comparatively enhanced in this film.
Eminem started to date Kim Ann Scott and had a daughter in 1995 named Hailie Jade Scott. Feeling responsible for the birth of his daughter, Eminem released his first independent rap album “Infinite” as a rapper in 1996. Even though it was a perfect display of his remarkable verbal skill, finesse and biting wit, it could not make any profit because of its low-budget recording.

A year after, he released “The Slim Shady LP” which came into the knowledge of Dr.Dre who us a legendary rapper and former producer rap group N.W.A. it was Eminem’s favorite team. He traveled all the way to Detriot to see Eminem. He saw him competing in the rap battle and was impressed. He signed him to his Interscope Records Label on the spot. After working with Dr.Dre, Eminem released “The Slim Shady” which became a huge hit and went to sell over three million copies. Marshall and Kim Mathers married later that same year.
Eminem released albums are awarded the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album received a nomination for Album of the Year and are widely considered among the greatest rap albums of all time. Eminem nevertheless remains widely hated in some quarters for his offensive lyrical content.
2001 was the year when he got back to reconnect with his several of his old friends from Detriot underground rap scene to form the group D12. They recorded an album called “Devil’s Night” which carried his hit “Purple Pills.” His solo was released a year later named “The Eminem Show” bringing his traditional highlighted tracks “Without Me,” “Cleaning Out My Closet” and “Sing for the Moment.” He released an album “Encore” which became less successful than previous featuring his favorite songs such as “Like Toy Soldiers” and “Mocking Bird” but still brought back profit for Eminem.
